ZNA Sets An Example for Automobile Enterprises Being Honored the Title of “The Most Caring Enterprise Among Donators”

On April 10th, 2012, the award party for “The 7th China Charity Prize” held by China’s Ministry of Civil Affairs was held in Beijing. Each award was announced one after another. ZNA Automobile Co. Ltd., with outstanding contribution in charity, was honored with the title of “The Most Caring Enterprise Among Donators” and became the only automobile enterprise that won the laurel. What’s more, a number of reputed enterprises including Baosteel Corporation, Dell (China), China Mobile, Tencent and Zijin Mining etc. were listed.

As the first finished automobile JV of Nissan in China mainland, ZNA has been consistently sticking to sustainable development, considering it an important mission for enterprises to support the common progress of the society, construction of the society and programs for public good during its development process. For years, ZNA has been assuming social responsibilities as enterprise in a number of fields such as fighting poverty and assisting the poor, donating money for education and engaging in earthquake relief work etc. The total amount of money has reached 22 million Yuan with 4.66 million Yuan only for the year 2011.

Upholding the enterprise philosophy of “believing, accompanying and helping achieve success”, ZNA has established the core public welfare project “Hand in Hand Project” in 2010, being particularly targeted for helping disadvantaged groups such as college students who have financial difficulties in completing their studies and orphans and disabled children. By 2011, 7.28 million Yuan has been put into ZNA’s “Hand in Hand Project” which had helped about 3,000s college students. On this basis, ZNA “Hand in Hand Project” has been continuously expanding the fields of caring. Through holding campus lecture tour and providing psychological guidance for college students, it expects to deepen the helping to psychological and spiritual level as well as the level of profession training, realizing “it’s better to teach one the skill than just offering the thing” in a real sense. Meanwhile, ZNA takes full advantage of new media such as the micro-blog for establishing the platform of “ZNA, Partner of Public Welfare”. It carries out public welfare activities such as “Love 1+1” in a form of on-line and off-line combination, making more people pay attention to public welfare and take part in public welfare activities in order to fulfill the concept of “feeding back to the society, helping others”.

It is known that the “China Charity Prize” is the highest government award in public good and charity field of China. The aim is to award outstanding individual, enterprise and project that has made outstanding contribution in public good and charity field, including supporting earthquake relief work, assisting the old, the disabled, orphans and the poor, helping students who have financial difficulties in completing studies, supporting healthcare cause, culture and art, education and research and environmental protection etc. On the basis of that, it expects to advocate with full strength that people in all walks of life in the society could contribute to helping the disadvantaged groups, sending helping hands and feeding back to the society so as to promote social harmony and development. The prize has been widely praised by national departments and the society in terms of its fairness and authority.

The title of “The Most Caring Enterprise Among Donators” of China Charity Prize has affirmed the contribution of ZNA, an enterprise consistently supporting the cause for public good, and has encouraged it greatly to make further contribution. Zhang Jianhua, Vice President of ZNA who attended the award party stated that “ZNA has been constantly committed to building up the image of an outstanding enterprise and trying to be a close partner of public welfare cause. In the future, apart from enhancing the product quality and service, ZNA will continue to promote the social cause for public good, fulfilling actively social responsibilities in aspects such as education, safety, environmental protection and humanistic concern.”
