Zhengzhou Nissan SUCCE is said a star as the high cost-effective business vehicle on its microblog, including manual and automatic models with displacement from 1.5, 1.6, to 2.0. The model for trial drive is 1.5L SUCCE comfort equipped with 4A15 engine.
Difference from earlier trial drive of 1.6L and 2.0L displacement SUCCE is minor, especially in appearance, except while a few changes of the interior trims and configuration which is than slightly lower than SUCCE 1.6L and 2.0L. The main change is the power, i.e., 1.5L engine, which employs DOHC, 16V, VVT, DIS, ETC, with maximum power of 75kW/6000rpm and maximum torque of 135Nm/4400rpm. More important, it also meets more stringent national five-emission standards and enters Beijing market based on that technical advantage which is rare to see in other MPV brands.
SUCCE adopts Peugeot 307 car chassis and FF technology to obtain good performance on passenger carrying. Front MacPherson independent suspension and rear torsion beam semi-independent suspension can achieve relatively stable riding comfort, which is based on the consideration of higher requirements of passengers. On the one hand, the rear suspension provides adequate support when carrying heavier goods. According to the special needs of specific models, 1.5L SUCCE Standard is equipped with leaf spring which can bear greater weight to obtain better flexibility than other ordinary micro-vans in the use.
1.5L SUCCE adopts FF layout, thus, its driving safety is better than MR layout micro-van and it is more comfortable than some FR layout high-end micro-van as most of micro-vans do not have ESP, as a result, RWD car is more risky than FWD car when the rear wheel slips in inclement weather. Plus, its center of gravity is generally higher. That is why you see micro-vans rolling over on TV. Meanwhile, FF layout has better advantage than FR layout in terms of noise as FF layout has no drive shaft running through 2-3 rows of truck chassis.
The 1.5L SUCCE uses 205/55 R16 all-season tires, which have better driving performance than common micro-vans which use 185/65 R14 commercial vehicle tires in terms of road holding and comfort. SUCCE also uses ventilated disc brakes which has higher safety factor and lower thermal attenuation that solid disc brakes.
The 2695mm wheelbase of SUCCE gives passengers a relatively spacious and comfortable interior space and a space to load more goods. Its bilateral open sliding door, the same as MPV Yumsun, has a width of 700mm to facilitate VIPs to get on or off the car and load the goods. The back door can open to a height of 1870mm, which is higher than the height of micro-vans. Square trunk space is convenient to load/unload and place goods.
SUCCE takes after sedan and is configured as a sedan. It uses high-strength unitary construction body and brand new comprehensive protection method with bumper beams on both sides to greatly enhance the absorptive capacity of impact to A, B, C, and D, and stop side impact to achieve all-round protection of the passengers. The engine is sink designed. This vehicle reached a 3 star standard in the C-NCAP crash test, which is also a high level of own brand MPV models.
Dark gray interior reduces the reflection on the windshield when the sun shine is strong to ensure open and clear driving vision. Generally, luxury is not what SUCCE shows off but its practical utility. Convenient storage boxes are at your fingertips. Blue backlight instrument panel relieves driver’s fatigue, tachometer and speedometer have large scale span and are clear and easy to read. In particular, it becomes green when it is at the economic speed range. The design is very human oriented. In addition, the water temperature gauge scale and fuel gauge scale have evolved into light-emitting cells from the pointer.
Audio equipment with USB interface is very useful as most function keys are multiplexed on other keys. Perhaps, it is nothing for a large SUCCE. However, the compact design is totally to give users more storage space. From this point of view, SUCCE is a very human oriented advanced compact commercial vehicle.
Interior layout is a 2+2+3 pattern of seat. One the one hand, it improves comfort of usually used second row seats; on the other hand, it facilitates the third row passengers to get on/off. Meanwhile, the third row seats are equipped with seat belt, which is also very user friendly. The 2+3+2 pattern of seat is optional as its advantage is to provide larger space for goods and conducive to commercial needs.
Manual transmission shift is easier and the clutch switch is low, which is very handy. It almost drives like a sedan except the situation at turn-making which is slightly slope due to its high center of gravity. Torque performance is common when engine is at low speed, after all, the displacement is designed like that. However, the acceleration is very obvious when the engine raises its speed. Plus, gearbox is reasonable designed, it can adapt to that situation in short time.
