Global Test Driving of Nissan 360
2013-09-27 10:42:23In September, the “Nissan 360” activity was held by Nissan Automobile in California, US., presenting to the world the innovative breakthroughs achieved by Nissan in terms of automobile technology while providing demonstration and test driving of all vehicles types. The entire NV series represented by NISSAN NV200 and other LCV types has gained extensive attention from the media worldwide. According to the plan, after being designated as the only taxi type for New York in the future ten years, NISSAN NV200 taxi will come into operation officially on Oct. 31st. However, during the campaign, careful visitors have noticed the yellow taxi of NISSAN NV200 in Universal Studios Hollywood. In fact, even though there is no taxi-version of NISSAN NV200 at home, the NISSAN NV200 production vehicle manufactured by Zhengzhou Nissan could be seen everywhere.

This year is the 80th anniversary of the establishment of Nissan Motor Corporation and the 40th anniversary of its entry to Chinese market and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Zhengzhou Nissan as well. Decades of hard work has made the scale of commercial vehicles greatly improved. In 2012, the total sales volume of Nissan LCV worldwide reached 1,140,000 sets, with the vehicle type being primarily extended from NV 200 to include a variety of types ranging from NV 100 to NV 3500 as well as E-NV200 and NV 200 NEW York Taxi version to satisfy the diverse demands of customers. Among the vehicle types, the accumulative total sales for NV 200 reached 200,000 sets in over 40 nations in the world, including more than 50,000 sets in China which takes up 25% of the global sales.

During the “NISSAN 360” activity, Nissan released forward-looking technologies such as automatic driving, in-vehicle interconnection and safety system. Meanwhile, it established two backbone goals of 0-emission and 0- death rate. In the field of 0-emission, the latest achievement in Nissan electric vehicle technology has been consistently embodied in NISSAN NV200. It is reported that after NISSAN NV200 stepping into international metropolitans of Tokyo, London and New York, the electric version of NISSAN NV200 will also become the city taxi of Barcelona, which could promote the international trend of low-carbon transportation. It is not difficult to predict that more and more international metropolitans will apply NISSAN NV200 CDV in the future for urban public transportation. The vehicle perfectly integrates a number of elements such as environmental friendliness, humanized design, practical huge space and stylish appearance, providing highly valuable reference for urban public transportation in China.
