Zhengzhou Nissan Rich Pickup team takes part in the start ceremony of 2016 Silk Way Rally 

On July 8, 2016 silk way rally held start ceremony before St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow's red square. National flag parade, ballet performance and the band from Kazakhstan and China acrobatic troupe, all of these made the whole scene grand and lively. Famous drivers like Loeb, Stephane Peterhansel, Ma Difu and Nicholas came here to open the curtain of the world's top intercontinental cross-country rally.

Zhengzhou Nissan Rich Pickup team as the only factory team have taken part in the start ceremony, Lu Binglong and Sha He with NO.179 racing car, Song Haitao and Li Dongfeng with NO.177 racing car appeared on the stage, on behalf of the Chinese factory team blew the horn. In the near 15 days, they will challenge the rally with 10000 kilometers and across three countries. In order to make the domestic car enthusiasts and the general public a better understanding of events, and witness the performance of independent brand pickup on the hard top international competitions, more than 10 domestic authoritative media came to the scene, witness the team start ceremony.

On July 7 and 8, it’s the time of administrative and vehicle examination, before the start ceremony, each team completed official certification and registration in the Luzhniki Olympic stadium which is one of the most iconic stadium in the world. Zhengzhou Nissan Rich Pickup team is the only factory team with independent brand. Different from modified racing car, Rich Pickup is the first registered vehicle since T2 factory production car registration system by FASC; in accordance with the requirements of the FIA's latest technology, Rich Pickup have the security adapted and appropriate adjustment, almost the same with the vehicle sale in the market. Zhengzhou Nissan hopes though participating in the event with factory car can prove the product performance, continuously improve product quality.

Before the start ceremony, the major media came to the scene of Zhengzhou Nissan to visit, communicate with team members and race car driver, and bring their blessing and support to the team members. Rich Pickup team is a team with brilliant event records, in addition to five successive championships of T2 factory team of domestic Taklimakan Rally and China cross-country rally; they will be the only Chinese team across Eurasia two times. For the second time across the Eurasian continent, there is no pressure; in the 2008 crossing the east rally, Rich Pickup had across the Eurasian continent for the first time, and win NO.7 which is the best grade that the Chinese team participate in international competition.
